Anyone work in SFPP?

I have been working for SF 10 years and ended up moving to the Phoenix hub in
Jan 2019 due a new job offer. I worked in SFPP prior before moving and wanted to see how it's going in my old department. I saw SF closed all of the LOC beginning of the pandemuc including the one I worked at in AL. I met someone who worked in SFPP years ago and I was curious.

I’m in SFPP. Have been here a few years now. For the most part, I still like working in SFPP. Modernization is kind of a mess though…. Putting it nicely.

I must be missing something. The 2 responses seem to have nothing to do with the OP question???????

commute range is variable , what takes 20 minutes on a Saturday may take 1.5 hrs during work week, the thing i heard constantly is 100 miles is the range, in phx metro 99 miles does get you out quite a bit however i dont know if i would like to live that far but know of some co workers that are out quite a ways because that is all they could afford so it is understandable the need to move further out, there should be NO range on positions that are more remote than office , they should have options to be full remote for such cases with maybe coming in once or twice a quarter if the need arises but they probably wont.

If you are in the PHX hub, you will have to ask permission to move outside of commute range (no seriously) and unless you have a s-b story reason, they will tell you no. I know quite a few people who had to move due to SF's insistence to shutter as many LOC as possible, and would like to return...all were told to shove off. One person I know was able to move had a major family emergency type deal, and I think they asked for proof to allow.

Personally I just want to move out of the PHX metro area into an area without skyrocketing rents and cost of living before its too late.
