I don't have any insights, I'm just referring to one of the threads below where it was mentioned that Pro/Install are being sold. I hypothetically discussed with my colleagues what they think about it purely as a business move, so I am interested in what is your opinion as well?

It is reasonable to assume the proceed of the Pro sale will be used to extend Bose runway. But how much can they get? Bose is losing money because they do not have the right product strategy and making new successful products that will return Bose to profitability will require many years, probably 2 or 3 in the best case scenario assuming they are already working on the ki---r product today.
Pro is one of the small number of divisions that is successful enough to be worth buying. It's a desperation move for quick cash. But losing the division will make Bose even more unprofitable. It delays the downfall of the company, while at the same time making the downfall even more certain.
Seems to me that it's because of cash required... It's no secret that Bose hasn't been profitable for several years -- they need a cash injection to try and recover their core business -- unfortunately, Pro is the one that's going to take that bullet.
