I started looking for a new job as soon as I noticed that there was less and less work. At one point I was so embarrassed about having nothing to do I had to actually pretend to be doing something.
Since all of my customers moved to subscription, there is nothing left to sell... So, for about two years I've had nothing to do except chase signatures. I'd say I put in (most weeks) a solid 10 hours of actual work. There are some super busy weeks, but it feels like we've already shifted all the revenue around, and there is nothing left to sell. The last two years have taken a decade off my life. Because it isn't like you can just leave and not work... You have to work, be here and active, but there is nothing to do. It is the worst.
