Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Our leadership is beyond help

Preaching to the choir here, but I just can’t believe the ridiculousness of the PEM Andy has assembled.

They are incapable of logical decision making when it actually matters. They only things they have accomplished is to ‘limit bureaucracy’ (which at best has just created an excuse for sh---y managers to now not even have to try to care for their team members).

Worst of all, they are complete hypocrites- complaining about the organisation needing to change, yet many of them verging on 2 year tenures have done sweet FA to contribute to that change they are responsible for.

And they think the organisation is entitled? Never seen such a bunch of stuck up fools in my life. Leaders my a-s.

@1dig+1hO5wB21. Unfortunately they wont. Pearson is a maintenance business at this point. The only "growth" will come via acquisition or price increases. Management has virtually no impact on either of those. ...other than making d-mb acquisitions.

It’s been terrible for decades. The only difference is demographics were in our favor.

They will rue the day they made some (not all) of these recent, upper management hiring decisions. Or did they just throw darts at the resume board?
