Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

We are just a number to them

It is surprising that some, even after 15 or more years of working here, think that they are actually important to hy-vee. I guess people can't possibly accept that after so many years of loyalty and hard work, they are still just a number here that doesn't mean anything?
Unfortunately, I know from experience that those who are most certain that they are safer than others, end up being the most disappointed.

You will work your way back up. I went down temporarily, but now am well above where I was when I left, salary-wise, and a thousand times happier. You will look back and realize how lucky you are to be free of that environment.

I left a high paying position and I am happier than I’ve ever been. I need to budget more, but lack of money is not making me unhappy like working fit that joke of an “employee owned” company.

Hyvee is probably the moat toxic work environment in the entire entire retail grocery field.
