Culture change

I have been here for a little over two years and in just such a short time I have noticed that the culture is slowly becoming more and more unhealthy.

Brown nosers, those who take other people's credit, inflated egos - they are increasingly appreciated, while at the same time hard workers are discouraged in many ways.

For those who have been here longer than I have, how much has the culture changed since you came here?

I too joined Salesforce via acquisition. Since that happened, many have left, moved on, and found new jobs at other companies. Not a lot of pre-acquisition people left really. A lot of lost talent. Those who remain are nose to the grindstone converting to Salesforce tools, systems, and inferior technologies. Many steps backwards to integrate.

very easy to tell. just look at how many long timer still left in Core, many have left. in some cases, entire team has turnover in a year.

Other companies have been purging their toxic people (Oracle, Microsoft, Symantec) and they're all landing at Salesforce. Quality long time vets are leaving, new hires with skills are leaving, and what's left are the worst of the worst and their lackeys.

Just over 5 years and ive really noticed a change in culture in the past 2 years. I joined through acquisition and it was ok at first but slowly moving into the salesforce way of things, its clear to see a change in how things are done, people are managed, hundreds of process to remember. People only looking out for themself and only helping others if it benefits then. I have seen so many people leave and go back to smaller company or startups
