There has been too much loss of talent at all levels. Carefirst can't retain its institutional status if this goes on much longer.

Any rating deserves a comment. The issue with the C level leadership is they are so disconnected. This is despite attempts in communications to the rank and file. The problem? Senior leadership (especially the CEO calls) need to communicate things if direct importance to the workforce. I would be happy if we just heard Brian discuss the state of the company and keep the meeting to 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Respectfully, most tune out when the non-CEO recent topics like the CareFirst entrepreneurship or mental health discussion comes up. What I want to hear: hiring issues problems as CareFirst is not competitive, topical issues of the day. Please do not burden us with filler or fluff or pumping ELT egos. We don’t care and it is egregious hijack of time.

Biggest takeaway: seems like all the welfare and focus external to the community on mission, etc. While that is certainly important and indeed a corporate mission, don’t forget about the people inside the walls who have to deal with impossible HR hiring practices (yes HR, you drag your feet to the detriment of the mission you state you provide), an ever shrinking resource pool (read: HR problems again), and a “get along” to get promoted attitude pervasive at this company where the popularity contest wins out over talent and ability.

I'd give them three

They kind of try but are not capable

I voted with my feet. CareFirst is not doing enough to recognize and retain top talent. Does that start at the top? Probably.

Brian is a terrible CEO. Angela is a terrible HR leader and has accomplished very little of value. Replace them and the rest of the ELT are pretty good.

Doesn’t matter. Just can’t believe the board is this blind to BP and his inability to lead and grow this company. Times are tough in all aspects but get out in the community and sell. If he spent as much time outside selling as he does selling his woke ideology to all the employees maybe things would be different.

Considering the number of resignations across all departments, I think the employees have voted with their feet.
