Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

It’s going to be a rough ride when recession comes

Think about it. We had layoff and uncertainty about our jobs when the economy was in a much better state than it is now and when people had much more buying power. I can’t even think what it will be like when recession kicks in. Will this company even survive?
At this point the idea of just quitting my job and going into the unknown doesn’t seem that bad.

You forgot all the brand new stores started end of last year (Wall2Wall wine, multiple ecommerce stores like Petship — all started with zero planning) and all the new Fast & Fresh locations, and Indy car.

They have leadership but I think HyVee would do better if they didn’t have any leadership at the top. Those guys come up with new way to fail all the time. HyVee is not doing so well because of the leadership. I like how Randy blames the store directors for failed stores and profit. Randy will hold store directors accountable for their failures. Which is a good thing to do but at the same time he doesn’t hold himself accountable for his failures. The bad news Jeremy G is going to be just like randy and drive HyVee into the ground.

What leadership? They have none. Probably the most toxic company of its size in the Midwest.

HyVee won’t survive the recession. Well they could but as long as Randy is the ceo HyVee doesn’t have a chance. Before you start defending randy let’s looks at all of the bad ideas that have been costing HyVee money. Clothing line failed, basin failed, restaurants failed. Only monthly ads failed, online darks store failed. All of the d-mb sponsorship failed. He made a big announcement about moving south with new HyVee stores and DC failed. Did I missing anything. Randy is a failure that can’t see the future.

Well with that type of negative thoughts you won’t survive. Stop focusing on the past. Don’t waste your time or energy on the past. Spend your time on the future and let HyVee leadership take care of the overall view of the company.
