Thread regarding West Corp. layoffs

Things are changing but Intrado is not gone

Everything but Life and Safety (the original Intrado that West bought), and Mosaic is or has been being sold off. What is left IS Intrado.

This is how Apollo operates, they buy up companies, reorg then sells in pieces. That is always what they do, it's what they said they did back in 2017 when they bought West.

Conferencing product sale is finally final, Cisco business is going back to Cisco, Voice, UCaaS, and anything, not Mosaic or LS is in negotiations now. But will close until March 2023, because that is the end of the last client contract. Some people are staying until the end, because after being here so long we earned that damn severance check.

All Intrado business units are dying. The expected sales for all business units are incredibly low across-the-board. All business units are up for sale and have been up for sale for sometime. Offers have been made on all business units and Apollo has not taken them because they have been low offers or a company interested in the business unit after reviewing how the business unit actually is doing backs out of deal

I've see this posted here before, regarding Apollo / West borrowing only owing money to themselves. This is comically inaccurate. West is swimming in debt, just check the filings.

Hoping notified wont be part of a bankruptcy. It seems like they are they only ones coming out of this alive.

If anybody has figured a way to come out ahead by defaulting on money borrowed from yourself? And maybe they have! But if not I'm still seeing re-org, not liquidation.

Any BUs remaining will seek bankruptcy protection in 2023. There is simply too much debt, and the BUs remaining under LS have double digit shrinking revenue and are in low growth commoditized industry segments . The only question remaining is liquidation or reorg after bankruptcy. Either way, some of the LS BUs will not make it though bankruptcy.
