Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Who are the chosen ones?

There is more or less favoritism in every company, so here too there are those who enjoy some privileges that others do not. However, I don't understand why many managers' favorites are those who generally do not do their job well? Why aren't the best employees their favorites instead? It really annoys me when I see how the laziest here enjoy all sorts of protection from the manager.

Everyone thinks they are the best and above everyone else. The fact is that most folks you will probably meet in your life are just average on an absolute scale. The perceived difference between the laziest and the most elite might not be as big as you think.

Are you sure the resources were meant to be used by masses? If not are you certain your need was more legit than the others?

As far as the use of resources is concerned, are you sure anyone was supposed to use them and that your top dogs didn’t end up playing some dirty tricks to get these so called privileges? Folks nearly the end of their lives can be very sketchy at times.

You make a Fortune 500 company sounds like an old boy’s club. Some privileges are not meant to be shared by the masses.

If you think you are the best performing then probably seeking privilege in this public forum is the worst use of your time.

Ask MM or BC , where did 20 mil dollars go when they tried to not be favoritists and what happened of the tech division afterwards. They’ll teach you a lesson or two about shady management techniques.

It’s depends on how you Define best here. If best is defined s as the one who gives a person the happiest possible feeling, then promoting sycophants is not that unreasonable.
