Unmanageable Workload

Worked 16 hours today and normal is 12. Most checked out at 1pm for early release.
Could work 24/7 and still not be done or be thoughtful in my work. Manager does nothing but piles on more deliverables.

Lack of accountability is astounding. Rework is ridiculous. Love the mission but unsustainable.
Beginning to feel like leaving the big bank I was at for many years, where I was well thought of and successful was the worst choice I have made in my career and potentially my life.

Anyone else sipping koolaid while listening to the employee meeting today? If only the culture was really as they say. The toxicity wouldn’t be so offensive if they were honest about it and didn’t cloak it as a collaborative maintain the culture , we care about employees load Of cr-p.

Great point on drinking the koolaid. It was that Eagle Day presentation they made me attend for something like 4 hours. While my team was already over loaded and has been for more than a year. If everything is a priority nothing is.

20 year employee here, these posts are pretty much right on the money. It is sad what this place has become. I was so invested that it truly bothers me.

Stop drinking the Kool-Aid. There is no "mission" - you aren't some Christian missionary on a mission to the Moon. USAA is a for-profit company selling financial products to the military segment. It's not giving away these products for free. And, if you look at the P&C products, the auto and home P&C products are not cheap and often are more expensive than competitors. Go read about the denial of claims on complaints websites. Go see things for real out there instead of believing the ra ra bs that is spun. It's a company like all other for-profit companies. We are all just employees, not people on some wild mission to save the world.
