I can't imagine bringing in a sales win under these circumstances! Hats off to the AE who made it happen. Truly worthy of both an award and in-depth case study.
Hopefully my job will be secure for a bit longer...
Huge deal just signed.
The animosity is not for someone screwing SGAS, it's calling out the reality of a lazy, immoral, unethical douchebag who would rather quarter a-s it]at 2 companies than try to do a good job at 1 company.
Though I'd put my money on the fact that this guy was already shitcanned awhile ago because he didn't perform, and is shitposting now just to be a troll, because HG's team changed in November, there's no way he could have been under him in October and today.
Re: "hope they end up found out & terminated with cause"
That's funny. Pretty sure they don't care and are scratching their head wondering why that didn't happen sooner.
You’re a loser if you feel any animosity to someone screwing SG. Company is in the toilet
Anyone doing another gig while remaining on SG payroll and that other job is supplanting your daily SunGard work (i.e., it's not a second job worked after SG), then that person is a scumbag and I hope they end up found out & terminated with cause.
Probably a shitpost from a troll who got fired long ago for cause, but if true I hope you're on the KERP list and they find out so you miss out on your sweet bonus.
If you really have that much free time then fill it with improving the business, clean up out of date documentation, get a new cert, do something to help that which you're shitposting about, vs just sitting around complaining and pointing fingers at people around you, hoping somebody else does something while you sit on your lazy a-s.
@@9pko+1i12f4d4 - if this is true.. I raise a glass and tip my hat to you..
HG is one of the largest fcuk wits on this planet!
I see the "Leapfrog Program Release 2.0 - UAT Final Sign-off requested by EOD TODAY Friday August 12, 2022" ... What a waste of time that bollocks is.
@9pko So basically business as usual for that group?
I’ve been working at IBM for 9 months now and still on SG payroll. Hey HG - I’m in your division and I’ve done nothing since last October
Anyone know what will be of MS and RS. I could have sworn MR said there was something in the works during call and could not comment - but not sure.
Oh well, at least another 3 months worth of salaries. This will top up my current salary from the another company. Money for nothing!

Goodluck Canada!

@2cwv+1i12f4d4 Too late, all the customers know what to expect from EM and the special-needs gang.
The only customers left are the ones who don’t know they are still our customers. The ship has sunk, I’ve started pulling random cords in the MF room in 401.
I foresee a parade of short term contracts from our customers, followed by terms. Better hurry up with this sale and dump that bag on 365.
Why anyone is still at sungard is beyond me. I left just as the chapter 11/administration was announced and I can hand on heart say the grass is definitely 100% greener.
I left behind colleagues I would actually call friends and I feel for them especially those now caught up in the Redcentric mess.
Ironically enough, the Mainframe may be the last thing standing.
@1jst+1i12f4d4 you think the end goal is to become cloud only?
Follow up question - doesn't everyone know the cloud is a fad and mainframes are the future?
Stonecourt Capital LP refinanced all debt in 2021 for this opportunity. Look at all the players involved. Boy if you're staying at SG, you're in for a squeeeze. What else can they extract from SG??

@1odp+1i12f4d4 Private equity vultures have no heart nor soul. Primary goal is to extract value and capital for their shareholders off your back and sweat equity.
Coming out from the AM call, it would appear as if MR is still fulfilling the AS plan to get rid of all data centers. SG to retain most cloud offerings and 365 gets the colos.
Doc filing 538 stipulates that annual salary to be kept the same. No raises but also means that salary can't decrease in the year from closing date either. Problem is looking through glassdoor and indeed on reported salaries, why would you want to work for 1/2 to 2/3 of your current salary?
So opg/Cortez….. what’s the spin here….? I thought mgmt was bringing safe paces to bring SGAS back…. What happened…?
Another private equity firm that will suck the remaining pulp out of this business model.
@ptu+1i12f4d4 LEAVE NO STONE UNSQUEEZED
Stonecourt Capital majority owner or 365, yet another private equity firm.......
@ptg+1i12f4d4
Ouch! From fire sale and into the fire!
Not sure how this exemplifies: "Best interest of our customers"
The transition should come with an advisory, but will one be given?
Great... https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/customers-sue-365-data-centers-over-alleged-ransomware-and-outage/
The Sale Hearing isn't till August 24th so it's not a done deal till then. After that, one's fate may be in the hands of another (not SGAS). Do some research on the buyer and see if they're someone you'd want to work for even if given the chance. Looks like most of their current data centers are in the Eastern US if that means anything.
Looks like DataCenter Dymanics just posted an article about this just now (if you don't want to read court filings).
@gnx+1i12f4d4 gonna take a little while to figure out how to get McDonald's employees in the Colos for cheap cheap CHEEEAAAAP.
How long before they start with Workforce Reduction now?
