Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

$3b Company? Open req's just means Marketing was accustomed to being bloated. And out of touch If they believe Avaya to still be a $3b company. Maybe they didn't chose the right people, as we all know of waste that remains within Avaya marketing. I am very sorry for YOUR loss. Yet the overall marketing function, along with the ineffective and joke of a head of product management, needs to be incinerated. No clients or partners need any more Avaya social media posts of OneCloud nonsense. No one needs evangelshit narcassism. Avayas value is in it's engineers and current clients. Give the marketing funding to the customer facing people and focus on keeping the clients they have.
Again. Sorry for your loss. yet Avaya marketing needs to be 100% scraped.

Got laid off yesterday on the marketing org. There were about 15 of us on a single call. There were people at the company 20+ years to less than 1 year. It was about 5 minutes and everything was sent via email about four hours after the call. There are also a ton of open recs in the marketing org already, so marketing is extremely thin now for a $3B company.

20 + years of dedication and a severance pack equal to people with the company just over 5 years.....but at least they took good care of the higher level managers impacted.

The call I was on barely lasted 5 minutes and was basically, if you are on this call, you have been affected and today is your last day. HR will send you an email with more info, and for us it to forward to our personal email as we will be locked out of system today. Still awaiting the HR email.

For those who got a meeting invite, what role/region are you in?

Did FedEx tracking show up only if your FedEx account is tied to your Avaya email address? PS Back up your emails and contacts immediately.

Several of us got an HR invite for the exact same meeting time. So it appears to be a group layoff. We'll see.

Got my HR doomsday invite at 1025pm central for high noon tomorrow… their communications plan sucks when payroll direct deposit already keyed us in on this.
