They try in vain to put the blame on us. It is more or less clear to everyone that they are imposing very unrealistic expectations. I don't want to feel guilty that an unrealistic goal was not achieved. I wonder if they actually want us to leave on our own or do they really think that the employees will be more productive under such pressure?

I am going to be quiting soon and can't wait to be able to sleep in sat they need to do rotating weekends instead buring out what's left of the staff
Rac has gone downhil and it has alot to do with the dms and how they treat the people that work for them . High turnover I believe is because of them . Can't treat a person like pure sh-t and expect them to respect you and work hard for you.
Well mine is like Hi---r mean a-s guy I try to leave the store soon as I see him get out his suv .
Some of the things I’ve seen these DMs say or do is wild. I was a CAR before they changed it to Delivery Specialist, and for my lunch break I would stay in the office & draw. So my DM came up behind me & awkwardly touched my shoulders & asked if my drawing was of my boss? Because apparently my s-xuality implied that I was infatuated with my boss for whatever reason. I had never been so uncomfortable & I wanted to punch him for saying something so stupid.
Then on that GroupMe for the managers they say the most craziest sh-t & the DM acts like everyone is stupid or doesn’t know how to do their job. And they expect you to respond like right away to updates even if your super busy. Then complain about it & complain about how you don’t have certain numbers hit yet.
This whole job is tug & pull of DM stupidity.
This place deals with people with a credit score of zero and expects them to pay ontime crazy to me if you ask. There pockets got holes in them .
I despise they do this myself and all these needless meeting one after another. Job is stressful enough without you texting harassing the employees all day it's bad . Can't wait till I get a job were I just go in and do my job and not be judged based off of people randomly picking up the phone or coming into the store for a item or the person who finally calls in to pay there pd account cause we all know you can't controls someone's money no matter how many text or vm you send a day .
I wonder where I signed to receive a thousand texts on my phone from the dm my personal phone call the store if you want to get in contact,send a email .
Calling credit right now right so just did a massive house delivery all kinds of stuff bedroom living room washer dryer anyway they were approved no verification did this 2 weeks ago call for a payment we don't have that kind of money at the time before the delivery everything was good oh yeah no problem by the paper u can afford it least what you wrote down and the system approved you for that amount anyways I don't need to ask for any info or anything like that they are approved which is crazy now we have to pick all that sh-t up place is crazy ..... hate this place people could put in they make all types of money and be approved for huge amount but in reality can't afford sh-t think we should go back to old ways wonder why people quit this place
This is a sh-t job trust me they could careless about you or your family all they care about is a 6.9 and a bunch of sales to people who can't afford stuff then ask you why you can't hit a 6.9.
You're from Connecticut I heard that dm is really bad . I worked in Connecticut for a few then transferred out of state I believe I had him for a bit I remember him coming into stores yelling at staff and swearing at them glad I left for a delivery at the time didn't stay much longer as I moved out of state . Yeah this company is desperate for that 6.9 hardly anyone gets anyone I have up trying I'll knock on the door but I ain't bashing the door down like they want .
Its time to leave rac, they will try anything to not fail as a Company. I mean groupme, really? Some rd or dm brought that up as a "best" practice because a dm or his region is hitting credit so now everyone does it. The reality that rd or dm is doing some funny business and the groupme is just getting the rest of the Company upset to the point good people will be quiting. I can just imagine all the good stuff in those groupme threads for a class action lawsuit, LOL.
I work out of a Connecticut store I am tired of getting harassing texts all day from the dm it's unbearable didn't sign up for a job to constantly text us all day . I've only been with rac about a year or so and in the time I've gotten hundreds could be close to a thousand texts this has got to stop after hours before work during work In group texts also were other people send texts after hours and he is rude ne8ver felt so uncomfortable from a job very unprofessional company . Stuff I've seen what the guys have to do for collections just to get a payment is insane . The level of stress this place gives you before your day starts ,during the day and even after you clock out is make anyone leave like myself started applying as of yesterday.
I honestly think by the new year if they don't have a great holiday something will happen ,close stores,reduce staff even more, layoff more people,or a buy out things are just bad ,staffing problems galore no one wants to work for this company and current staff absolutely dread going into work and it shows if they made things realistic instead of completely unattainable real goals no hey we need 40 sales on Friday quickly burning out staff at stores seen so many leave people are happy when they leave . I hear it all the time imfact not one person I've talked to isn't trying to leave this company very serious about that .
They should do with every auto payment enrollment take 10 bucks off there bill so it will change them 10 less on the weekly cap it off at a 100 bucks or something along those lines so least you will have some ontime payments and more enrollment. Stuff too expensive paying on stuff for years people don't go to rac just for that reason unless they have other intentions.
Guy below speaks the truth I called credit today and hardly anyone paid forget auto pay half cancel card ,block it out or have no money in the account . I absolutely love when the dm calls and say you only cleared so and so percent idk man maybe because I called it 3 times a day and text everyone multiple times and no one picks up then says maybe your calling the wrong times like what do you hear yourself called all day sat now comes Monday call all day and text them all day what is the right time to call them if they had money they pick up if they haven't run off already think that's why everyone quits they are unrealistic to the point I feel like they are living in the matrix plus the dms really need a class on how to talk to someone getting mad at someone because you can't someone to pay their bill sounds nuts and I legit try system is broken .
Very unrealistic goals & shady business practice to get those goals.
I’ve stopped doing all that I can possibly do to help credit, it’s just gonna go back the way it was the following week.
Whenever they ask for me to do “Runs”, I honestly don’t even try anymore. I’ve seen the most shadiest & ruthless tactics to get payments out of people & I’m not about to get shot/stabbed or as----ted for pushing people. Plus the majority of past dues are in some shady places that I’m not about to get down at.
Even that ridiculous GroupMe chat, I have removed completely as I don’t see any legal document or contract obligating me to have that on my personal phone. We never used to have it when we went on runs, so I see no reason to have it now other than the Managers making sure your going to knock on peoples doors.
But all these fake sales & selling to people who can’t afford items or don’t even want to pay is what’s dragging down credit goals to be unreachable. Unless this company comes up with a better tactic or system to combat that, it’s simply going to sink even further.
I am somewhat new here and 3 weeks my co worker told me about this site . Short amount of time I've been here I really dislike the dm sm is okay but this guy is overbearing and he talks to us like children I really am second guessing me working for this place there is a ton of other jobs in Connecticut and thinking about leaving my co worker put me on some good sites to look on for new jobs and he's looking to .

So I worked for this company for a month . I've had past jobs but none of them are this unethical down right just crazy like this place it's do whatever and anything to get that 6.9 . I went to this past due home the dude who was training me goes and hides in the man's bushes parked the van allllllll the way down the road sure enough he comes home he's pops out the bushes freaking the guy out all he got was a commitment to come in this is crazy you have to go though some sh-t for a payment wasn't my type of job he's lucky the guy didn't go after him.
When you see that many SMs and DMs, that is a sign of too many battlefield promotions going on at RAC. That is a bad bad trend.
Well that's probably why there is a new employee every week or month they all quit . It's the dm's fault and sm they don't know how to actually talk to people or treat them at all . So I've been there about maybe almost 3 years and worked with 45 different people and 5 store mangers and 3 different dm all which were bad the latest guy is the absolute and I mean absolute worst . Being a dm doesn't give you the right to completely talk down to people and swear and slam things in the store walk around talking to himself these are bad times we are in .
What they realize is that high expectstions and unrealistic goals are not the same. Unrealistic goals and negative pressure makes people make wrong choices. Thats why all that manipulating is going on at rac. That type of behavior brings morale down and next thing you know there is a hostile take over happening, sound familar?
