During my latest visit to a Phoenix location, it was unreal. One cafe person and one person on the floor for the entire store. This poor person was working cash wrap which means no one else was on the floor. The manager was hiding in the office doing who knows what. The cash wrap person was clearly stressed out when I purchased my book. They were also taking phone calls. One thing I have noticed about this location is employees have been disappearing over the last few months. Either they are quitting or transferring. My guess is they are quitting, as they should. Down with BN forever.

I think a lot of people are over paper waste, lugging heavy books around, storing them and the bugs and dust they collect. Book stores are like newspapers, they're pretty much obsolete now.

Every time I go to a certain Phoenix location, the store is dead. Like no one there, and the same two staff members. I am frothing at the thought of BN closing. Down with BN.

I really don't know how how much long we can keep going with such pitiful sales. I'm shocked they didn't close our store and shut down after the holidays. I'm suspecting a big company announcement in 2023.

How can archaic book stores survive when soon car dealerships be history?

The new smaller stores might be able to survive but they don’t make much money. It’s a very different company now. I don’t believe they will be around much longer, it seems pointless to carry on, they are like 2 percent of the market right now.
