Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Nobody is happy here

I deal with HyVee's on a weekly basis and I can tell you this, out of the 24 stores I call on, there is not 1 happy employee. Not one and this is no exaggeration. People are quitting left and right and they have no one to fill their shoes. It's quite shocking.

This has been my experience as well. I don't think there's a single person left at HyVee who is not looking for a new job. The management is going to wake up one day and realize they don't have enough people to keep the stores open. By that time, it'll be too late.

At one time long ago yes it was a great place to work. Now it is very toxic.Supervision dont speak to the employees like Tom Watson and many other supervisors and executives used to.I would not encourage anyone to make a career with hyvee.STAY AWAY.

Czar Randy has said in weekly messages that Hy-Vee is the best company to work for in America. We live now in the 'misinformation ' age. So in reality, Hyvee is probably the most toxic company to work for in America.

To be fair and transparent, it might have been the best place in America to work for 30 years ago....even 20 years ago...but since about 2012, it has been on a downhill slide.....I didnt even recognize it as the same company I started with in the 1980's, when I left for a competitor in 2017, and have never been happier.

There is a lot of greener grass out there, and you don't have to look very far to find it.
