After an AWFUL restructuring in January, leaving most of its employees miserable, Oracle is now laying off many within Deal Management--even those that have been there for decades--with no notice or sound reason. Do better, Oracle.

anymore details? I'm in DM and haven't heard of anyone getting axed.
"this gave me a chuckle, tenure in itself doesn't mean they are good"
It also doesn't mean they are bad!
It just means that they have given so much to Oracle for an extended period of time, only to be taken out and $hot!

Personally, I was not, yet. This happened earlier in the week, can't specify what teams yet. But many colleagues who have been here for years--decades even--were cut without warning. To answer your question on location, NAMER; unsure of any in other locations. Deal Management spans across all LOBs, and with the recent reorg this yr we have been lumped together to support all. Previously there were Deal Specialists who drafted and Deal Managers who project managed, coordinated, etc. Now it's just a mess. The word is that the plan is they are outsourcing most everything to India. I really don't think the higher ups realize how bad this is going to be for them in the longrun.
Sad. Sorry to hear.
Is this true?
Aren’t there DM arms in various products if so which ones are affected?
I’m sorry if you were one of the ones who were laid off. I’m curious about a few things though. Mainly what country this was in, what product line and if this happened today.
