Thread regarding TIBCO Software Inc. layoffs

How is tibco thread so silent

Citrix thread is buzzing and there hasn't been any activity on tibco thread. Are we citrites more anxious?!

So, no obvious layoffs, at least not in any great numbers -- but TK did say "by end of November" for everyone to know their status, so buckle up for the next several weeks.

That's a good point. Even if you survive the layoffs and are here next year, you have to realize that you're working for a dying company. All this TK nonsense about being a "cloud company" is just that - nonsense. I predict that the Cloud Software Company will not even exist in five years. TK has a two-year contract, right?

The reason TIBCO still exists is because customers can not get rid of the software overnight. There are no new logos, just existing customers being circled like vultures. Sears and Kmart would be a good acquisition to the mix.

Every notice how there are detailed product comparison pitting the products against competitors? They brag about everything but the products. Any customer who buys the products are usually naive, and after using the products, they realize what a mistake it was.

Some are returning to the office on Monday. That might be the last time for some of them.

We're all waiting for the Tuesday meeting. Remember - if Matt Quinn gets to speak, fasten your seatbelt and hope you don't get an email when the meeting's over. Unless, of course, you want to get one!

You don’t have to be sorry TIBCO also made mistakes and lost many opportunities in the last 10 years… and this why vista didn’t found a buyer and decided to get ride of us thru this merger

Man, as a Citrite, reading this thread - I somehow feel personably responsible and sad.. (I'm not Tom K. I promise lol). Citrix used to be an AMAZING company, it was a great place to work. I didn't realize that it was perceived by Tibco employees as a failing company (though that's fair). So now I feel terrible. Citrix has gotten itself into its own mess, and now you guys have to pay for it along with us. On behalf of Citrix.. I'm sorry. Sorry that you're CEO got bumped, that you have cuts on your side that you don't deserve, and that you're unsure of what the future holds for you. Not fair at all. Hopefully by the end of 2023, we'll get back to some sort of "normal" and hopefully the "normal" is something that everyone will enjoy. << again, I'm not Tom K. LOL

Previous poster made a good point. TIBCO was doing well before all this happened. We had a CEO who actually cared about his employees. Now we have to pay the price so that Vista can salvage this train wreck of a deal. We would have been just fine without the merger. Blame Vista for everything.

Everyone at TIBCO is still in shock that we’re acquiring a failed company. We were interested at first but TK has now beaten the life out of everyone and we’re just looking for new jobs.

Replying to @lqk+1iWzt1FH:
“We heard that on your side the BDR folks were cut over there and what’s left of marketing has to audition for their jobs. That can’t be true?”

That’s 100% true. Nearly one month into the new structure, with marketing teams in place, and their leaders are having to justify the existence of the headcount. The new Head of Corporate Marketing for the NewCo, from Citrix, has a mandate to cut the marketing headcount even further. They’re using no-show at the office as an excuse to threat with dismissal.

Many Citrix folks like myself are just worn out, fed up, and playing the waiting game.

I haven’t heard anything on our side today so I can’t answer that.

After 7 + years under Private Equity rules a lot of people left and the remaining ones are either happy to have a job, happy to stay in their confort zone, waiting to get fired and get a package, or waiting for an upcoming retirement.

And the truth is that TIBCO still have great customers in many verticals (Telco, finance, airlines, etc), interesting projects to deliver and a great company culture.

Probably because they're getting hit again today from what I'm hearing. Whoever is left is just interviewing for jobs I assume. Except for the douche that just posted about closing deals. Ok Tom, I'm sure that's you. LOL
