So a strategic review is being done and we may sell off POLS division because we cannot tell students we are Pearson? This review may take up to 6 months. Who else thinks we will be sold before Christmas? If we do not get a job offer we may not be eligible for severance as Pearson will not owe us any loyalty.

Strategic review? I don't work for POLS but this is a bad sign for current employees. Are outside consultants involved? That means you are done because they're evaluating for a sale.
@1kcr+1ifGNWgW Dave Daniels says hello.
@slj+1ifGNWgW, exactly. NAHE never had visibility into POLS and doesn't now. Seems like a missed opportunity from 15 years ago where the relationships NAHE has/had could have become much more solution based vs textbooks. Tough to be innovative when we were on the gravy train of 06-09 recession, Campbell 9e custom cover, lab book and Mastering... headed to the Ritz to walk the stage-- hold my Cosmo... hiccup.
I had always thought POLS didn’t advertise their Pearson association because they didn’t want to be pigeon-holed into a “textbook publisher” label. I get it but NAHE and POLS never coalesced. They operate at different levels of the higher ed vertical but at a minimum knowledge shares should have been more frequent to help each team.
There’s opportunities I am sure but I’m doubtful Pearson will do anything too unexpected or different.
POLS will definitely be sold soon. There is probably something in the works right now. All the ever changing management has failed at POLS. KB was responsible for losing ASU and other schools are in the gutter, yet he gets paid extremely well.He's a used car salesman that will never answer a question in a town hall meeting. The demise of POLS resulted from Pearson employing claimed leaders with no skills and management background. Or managers who have tried to employ failed profit school tactics from 10-15 years ago. How many millions has the gov.collected from U of Phoenix and other profit schools. Now a new marketing director, with less time at POLS than an infant, has all the answers. Call the same people everyday he says, harass ,harass to reach your goal. Last year at this time, Pearson was fined 1 million by the SEC for lying to their investors about a data breach. It's hilarious the claimed leaders clearly never completed a mandatory data training module as required by employees. Teach, but don't practice.If you are willing to lie to your investors,imagine what you'll say to your employees. Strategic review takes up to 6 months. POLS is the SEARS of higher education. However, SEARS never blamed their employees for their failures.
