It’s been reported several US companies are giving its employees inflation bonuses to help with the rising cost of items of the last few months. Does anyone know if Giant Eagle is considering do this for employees?

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Are we on MTV's Punked, lol! Let me tell you something. Laura Karet is a cheap fool and the longer you work at Giant Eagle, you'll quickly find that out. She will never allow an inflation bonus, lol! We couldn't even barely get her to recognize any of her employees on how good of a job we were doing when she came into power. I worked under her dad and then her during the 7 years I was with that company. When her dad ran the company, we got $25 gift cards for EVERY holiday, birthdays, or anniversaries with the company, meal vouchers for $5, etc. when he was around. When she took over, she did away with all of that. Now she will only give a $5 gift card for Thanksgiving and a $10 one for Christmas and it can only be used at Giant Eagle. The other stuff, she got rid of. If she's getting chincy with the gift cards and other stuff we were getting, what makes you think she's going to give an inflation bonus to one of the minions working the register?
I got a few $5.00 gift cards at store level wrkn part-time. My full-time corporate job with another company gave me a $3.10 raise during the pandemic and I WFH. The only reason I stay at the eagle is because I am vested and my medical insurance is top tier compared to my full-time job.
That's why I left. I didn't want to be a full time translator and end up working the Indian time zone shift while training my own replacement.
If you think the corporate staff is bad now wait until all corporate staff is located in India.
The ship is sinking. The pandemic is over and those record sales are done. Prices at Giant Eagle are outrageously higher then the competition. No one wants to work in the stores for the low pay. Corp employees are moving on to more stable companies.

I heard the same thing about people leaving (but at both Store & Corp level). Thing is, can't figure out if that's a good thing or bad since half the Corporate TMs aren't worth their weight in water...
Are there rumblings of a mass corporate exodus? If so, very interesting.
Inflation bonuses!? The C U Next Tuesday in charge is passing along every penny of cost increases (and then some) to the customers (i.e. us) to line her pockets. You think she cares about giving anyone any extra money? She is straight trash. The mass exodus of corporate employees who give her the middle finger and leave in the co mm ing weeks is going to be staggering. She better plan to roll up her sleeves and get to work because the TMs she supposedly cares about are going to be gone soon.
