I used to cherish my BN membership. I got discounts on new books, and every November B&N used to send me a colorful packet of wonderful coupons to use during the holidays. I got discounts on Godiva chocolates as well as books. During the year I used to get emails now and then offering me 15-25% off different books.
Now I get nothing. They don't care about me or my reading habits anymore.
I also used to be able to buy used books off the BN website, which helped support small bookstores all over the country. It was sad when that ended.
I hope BN finds a way to keep going. I feel bad for all the employees who have had horrible experiences there and keep a glimmer of hope alive that things can turn around for the better.

Sorry for the confusion. I was joking. B&N was the worst experience of my life. I don't know if all the stores were as badly run as the ones in MA, but when I was there it was the worst!

HA! HA! (robotic laughter). Lynn sure has the upper hand with her chipper attitude. Will she have this same tone when she gets fired and the company folds? I seriously doubt it.
I worked at a couple of the stores in MA and my superiors were very pleasant, they listened and were very responsive, they always cheered us on and there was never any backstabbing or heinous behavior.
HA! It was the total opposite of all of that!
My boss used to tell us to threaten employees if they weren't selling cards. You better sell more of you'll lose your job!
So glad to be out of this disgusting company.
Yeah, BN deserves to be shut down for obvious reasons. Speaking of the BN Membership, I really don't want to hear about it each time I check out. If I wanted a membership (I don't), I would ask you about it. We don't care about BN or your stupid membership. Go out of business already.
