obituary - beeootch dead another NEW shareholder lawsuit for securities fraud

An investor sued Splunk Inc.'s current and former senior leaders, blaming them for potential securities fraud liability stemming from an alleged scheme to hide the software company’s widespread layoffs while falsely hyping its future financial prospects.

The shareholder derivative lawsuit targets Splunk’s ex-CEO, its former chief financial officer, and five board members. It accuses them of projecting major growth in 2021 and 2022 tied to increasing revenue, “not cutting operational expenses,” despite knowing the company was already slashing sales staff.

Company leaders “went so far as to claim that the Covid-19 pandemic did not disrupt hiring,” but Splunk had already ...

well....I imagine this will put an end to all that wasteful terrible swag that all those id--t managers wore under their ugly sport coats. I am dying laughing. Splunk is going to be chopped up and sold. I hope they get delisted from the market. SEC should make an example of them. What not to do when you get a few bucks. hahahahahahhaaa. Hey managers! this is what you get when you tell your subs to fudge stuff. A bunch of kids trying to play in adult's world of security. I guess they will pay this with the 400 people Gary laid off. sounds about right. how can you not laugh at what is basically a data company that can't even get the accounting and strategy right??? the sc-mmiest leadership of all time. clueless boys and girls. not right for tech. more for like running off the books sweat shops RIP Splunk

I hope you are doing well. The parties to the Splunk securities class action reached a resolution of the case for $30 million, subject to court approval. Plaintiff filed its motion for preliminary approval of the settlement a couple weeks back, which is currently pending. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Man. joined splunk in early 2022....it was a disaster and a ton of a$$holes in mgmt....I always felt something shady was going on. the mgmt of my team, worst I've ever worked for. the one guy was a complete disaster. he shouldn't be managing human beings. in the time I was there, legit hands down the weirdest and worst experience working at a company in 20+ years. I kept asking myself....why dont they have this documented? why is this obvious tactic not realized? why are the PS people trying to make themselves look better vs helping the customer? why is this exec sponsor continually talking about use cases meanwhile doing nothing? splunk is a dump. what's funny to me is that these people came from other tech companies or whatever. biggest loser company I ever worked for. wont push their products or suggest their folks aside from close friends. I can laugh now cause not there, but they're so immature as a company.

Look forward to evidence of so-called "already slashing sales staff".

^^ I don’t see Gary mentioned in this article. How do you know he’s being sued? What’s your source?

There are a lot of great people and managers at Splunk. Lot of the bad apples mentioned are gone now. Hopefully it still can hang on.

I feel sorry for Doug Merritt. His biggest mistake was relying on his direct reports to tell him what's going on and they were all incompetent. The mid level management down to individual contributor level at Splunk were also incompetent. He didn't stand a chance.

Fire all of them like at Twitter and take it private immediately !!!

They had fired the last CHRO and the one before her was also fired. The new CEO who is an id--t hired the CHRO from his failed company Proofpont to be the new Sp--k CHRO. They also, fired the last CISO who was there for a year and hired a new CISO who was the CISO at Splunk. The new CEO also fired the two Presidents Teresa Carlson and Shawn Bice. I saw their firing letters on the Internet submitted to the SEC.

At this time it doesn't matter as Splunk is done and must go into private equity to die off and save itself from lawsuits from shareholders. They can't cut it as a publicly traded company.

So both Doug Merritt and CFO Jason Child who are no longer there are being dragged back into court along with new CEO and the board.

Shut it down already!!!
