Thread regarding C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. layoffs

“Reduce operation costs over the next four quarters”

Key take away from CH Robinson’s CEO’s interviews. This is just round one. Several offices moved to other locations and signed one year leases. Corporate advised those offices to clear out storage units. One office’s lease is up Q3 of 2023, will those employees still have a job? Will they be able to work remotely (as the company did for 2020-2022)? Time will tell, but the CEO did make it clear that the reduction will occur over four quarters….

We’ll see how CH Robinson ends up.

Confirmed GM’s let go, a few VP as well. 1000-1200 was the latest count, but also heard that the layoffs didn’t hit the targeted number. Recent additions to the board hint at your typical corporate strategy of creating a lean organization. Even executive level employees showed their disdain for the newest board members and the impact they will have on head count and the team culture that made CH Robinson a great company to work for. Company is headed towards automation, see the recent promotion of our Chief Operations Officer. Capacity reps are no longer needed because the company has given carriers automation to book online. It’s causing a drop in service levels though, which may end up negatively impacting the company.
