Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

All, in your hearts you know that Larry is making all of the right moves for the company.

Dealt a very poor hand to play, Larry is doing the best that could be expected. Unfortunately, Jack’s GE Capital ran unabated and Jeff was way too late to turn it off. Jeff should have reset the company after 9/11, but did not have the stomach.

Good job Larry. Keep it moving.

While Culp and Board doing it their own way like Immelt in the past. Culp has no problem undoing what was done in the past along the way. I have to wonder if only this type of leadership superseded Jack, if GE could have weathered things better. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

LC didn’t correct the people that iMeltdown promoted.

A great example.. homewrecker (SS).. nice enough guy, until he eyes your wife, and takes her and your daughter. Lacks a moral compass.

Problem with this site is that it’s filled with onion workers who were employed by ge in the ‘glory days’ 90s and want everything to return to the way it was. Face it boys there were no glory days since 1980 when Welch began impacting company direction. It was all made up, a lie, a house built of egg cartons. Glory days were in the 50’s- 60’s, when none of us were actually employed by GE.

In addition, all workers get screwed and loose their jobs, consulting firms always get overpaid to prove best way for company executives to handle, there is liability to stockholders, exec. management always walks away with more, experience, and opportunity. But, I doubt anyone but the consultant firm is laughing all the way to the bank.

pxd+1jEqXMPm a magic wand couldn’t bring GE up from where it fell. If you expected a complete turnaround and everything goes back to where it was 4-6 years ago then I’m sure you are disappointed. Stop smoking, pay attention and read between the lines here, you may learn the steps an employer takes when the company is in financial trouble-experience.

What the F are you smokin? Larry isn't doing anything other than what Flannery intended to do. In any case, once again, thousands of workers will get screwed, consulting companies will get (over)paid for doing nothing and the GE execs will walk away laughing. Just wait for Vernova to break up

OP+1jEqXMPm Larry is earning his pay vs. Jeff-I-Melt and so goes GE, that’s for sure!
