Is this going to be an interesting year as it relates to Target layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

I think the coffee guzzling work from home crowd who got rid of daycare and are doing it themselves while they are "working" are going first.

If you use words like "yum", "perfect" and routinely check out in the early afternoon....bye bye. There is a reason they call it work. Might have to figure that out!

I hear the lazy work from homers who got rid of daycare and take care of their kids while "working" are going first

Specific teams, entire teams. If you’re store/dc has been consistently under performing, be on alert. Anyone notice these past few years how new stores/dc are strategically located in the general vicinity of under performing ones? Absorption of operations and customer base. Just look back 10 yrs or so, entire teams cut from HQ/dc as “unnecessary”, yet now those same jobs are back, just under new titles.

I’ve heard widespread but “quiet” layoffs. They don’t want bad PR again. If your boss doesn’t love you, get your resume ready.

Email today suggests attrition, cutting department budgets, and hiring freezes starting mid-January. Nothing about layoffs though, which neither confirms nor denies they will happen

I haven't heard any rumors, although I do wonder if layoffs are coming. I also wonder if layoffs would impact specific teams or if they would be widespread.
