Brocade people, training and education Jan 2023, correct?
@7bfb+1jUd1Z9v A lot of people who though of leaving in 2023 are changing their minds due to stock market losses…. I know of a view already in that frame of mind.
@5ysc+1jUd1Z9v MF has laid people off every year since the acquisition. The numbers are way less than what happened in AOD. About 1/10 the number. I think the bigger loss will simply come from people retiring. A lot of people have already put in their notice to leave in 2023.
@5ysc+1jUd1Z9v Mainframe let people go in October. Trust me, more cuts will happen there later in 2023... the gravy bowl is empty as they can't raise prices to drive margin...
I don't know about the company as a whole, but MF BU has added a lot of people in the past month. So if they were so worried about an impending collapse that is certainly a strange move. Part of the beauty of the MF model is it most often based on MSUs. When IBM releases a new line, MIPS increase across the boards, which means revenue goes up for ISVs. It is a self feeding gravy train. As long as IBM keeps feeding the machine, the MF division will likely thrive.
I heard. About things….
And stuff.
