Just lost a good colleague. Heard 1000 affected in this quiet layoff. Why such move despite good financial results? :(

Why do they pick Santa Clara location for layoffs? Because of the high salary costs on west coast?

Applied Materials is a more decent place to work than Lam Research. I have worked in both companies as a contractor in finance and from my own experience, the people treated me like a real person as compared to Lam Research, they treated me like dirt, like less than human, trampled over you, because you are a contractor.

Austin Finance roles - All but two internal audit roles were pulled off the job board today. Are these roles cancelled or just being put on hold given the economy/interest rates/industry sector outlook?

Noticed a trimming in Santa Clara Finance roles as well.
