Applied Materials layoffs today affecting mid-management and office staff in Austin TX.
Applied Materials is a more decent place to work than Lam Research. I have worked in both companies as a contractor in finance and from my own experience, the people treated me like a real person as compared to Lam Research, they treated me like dirt, like less than human, trampled over you, because you are a contractor.
Austin Finance roles - All but two internal audit roles were pulled off the job board today. Are these roles cancelled or just being put on hold given the economy/interest rates/industry sector outlook?
Noticed a trimming in Santa Clara Finance roles as well.
Looks like we are in the clear....still no layoff news!!!
No mention of downsizing/layoffs on Feb 16 earnings call and nothing in the 8k either.
