If you are a younger worker then you are most likely safe, but there is clearly a concentrated effort to encourage and/or remove experienced staff. Most of the recent terminations have been workers that are older. The company says they are concerned about quality, yet they do little to nothing to retain the older and experienced workers. Throw 1 to 3% a year at the older crowd so they can't be sued for age discrimination, but don't truly give them a chance to further their careers. Many experienced people have taken the hint and simply left on their own for better opportunities.
tick tock
Yes just heard two guys talking on the floor, its happening. Get your resume's ready folks
Departments are barely hanging on to the current staff, so layoffs are a terrible idea in the current environment. Labor market is still going strong. Good for workers.
Just wish management would stop with all the stupid meetings and check-ins that could easily be replaced by an email.
