Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

What does it take to be a top performer?

I'm noticing that there are fewer and fewer people who try to give their best in order to have a great performance.

I was used to getting 1.2, 1.3 and 1.1 consistently in the old system, but now I have never received above "Strong"......agree there is little incentive to compete with your co-workers now as great performers are getting the same rating as the people that hang out in the Energy Hub all day, etc.

Do you need to get a "Higher" to get promoted, or can "Strong" still get promoted, if it would have been a 1.1 or 1.2 in the old system?

Let's hope they bump up the salary tables for 2023. Seems they've been stagnant for years.

Why give your best if 80% of people get a strong 1.0 multiplier anyway?

A rare 5% will pi-s someone off and get lower.

The same 15% who used to get the 1.3 and highers will get higher/outstanding. So before you had a system that encouraged everyone to reasonably have a chance at 1.1 and 1.2. now you don't.
