Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Employee Surveys & Reviews

At the current state, don’t voluntarily fill out any employee surveys until you secure another job. Company is not being completely honest with what they do with our responses. It’s not Anonymous. Sure, they can use a third party service to make it appear that it’s anonymous. But the company can just pay extra to reveal the identity. For now just keep them on their toes as they’re doing to us. They punk us, we punk back by not providing info that they can use against the workforce.

They don’t share the legitimate survey responses with employees because the results are borderline embarrassing. Most regions in all levels were dissatisfied with exception to svps. Be suspicious of positive reviews on Glassdoor. Take them as grain of salt. Most honest feedback are flagged/removed and replaced with fake positive reviews to improve their rating. The actual rating is more like 1 out of 5 stars. They are just hurting themselves by being dishonest.

I have always found it very interesting how the yearly layoffs are always the low to mid level workers. The people who actually are the lifeblood of the company.

Maybe they should change the layoff policy and start the layoffs from the top down.
How many Vp's and SVP and MD are still there and yet they have no people to manage

Dear executives at State Street,
Majority of people at State Street are miserable. You know this. Start being actual leaders and our job satisfaction will go up and we will despise you less. Imagine a workforce where people are proud to work at State Street. Where we are happy to tell our friends and families without them smirking at us. Imagine no longer putting up fake positive reviews to draw in potential candidates in joining the company.

Stop using layoffs as a solution for everything. Reward hard workers. If you concern about labor costs start at the top by evaluating your own salaries.

Lastly, don’t just have a new building for creating space for more H-1B workers. Department of Labor will be call upon when it becomes too obvious that State Street replaces local workers with a H-1B workers with the same set of knowledge and skills.

As a manager I have never seen who responds to the survey. For me it is anonymous. Not sure where these others are seeing names attached but I never have. No defense of the company-they just screwed me and my team over with no raise and much lower bonus. Just being honest about what I have seen in regards to survey results.

I was open and honest with mine. I do have jobs lined up.

I hope that speaking up will make at least someone think twice about how they treat people here.they obviously aren’t getting the message with all the continued attrition

A lot of the reviews you see on INDEED are just as fake with too many positive reviews of the company.

Sorry prior to 2000yr State Street was a great company to work for, their motto was
Employee's are our greatest Asset.

Then came the Bean counters who started the yearly layoffs, outsourcing and bringing in H1B workers.

You will notice the company only responds to the Positive reviews with the same
generic message.

You never ever see a reply to the thousands of negative reviews

They are not honest about those going into the office sick with COVID and infecting others. Push back into the office is pushing sick people to go back. The company does not care.
