@2qif By that measure, there's hardly any company, let alone a software company, that is "decently-run." I would say MS and perhaps every company is 10x overstaffed. Most employees do nothing of value and are living off the foundations and work by the initial employees.
Microsoft profit is ~350k per employee. A decently run company is ~1million profit per employee, a well run company is ~3million profit per employee. Microsoft is about 3x overstaffed. Software firms should be on the higher end versus a hardware company.
This was all about Wallstreet and Quarterly reports. Stop spreading unbased rumors, anonymous.
