Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

MDLive

I guess now we have to pay for our MD live appts that were at no cost prior to the start of the year. Our premiums just keep going up as well.

When you start looking at other health insurance companies and how cheap their benefit packages are for their employees, it will infuriate you to see what Cigna does to their employees. Cigna has the means to be cheaper. They are so greedy and don’t care!

I checked my SPD and it says all MD Live visits are "No Charge" however in my Cigna it is listed as $0 after deductible is met. I think some of us may be set up wrong, I am having mine looked into.

Cigna’s purchase of MDLIVE has been a total failure. We have not grown that business AT ALL or gotten any value out of it. Unfortunately this is typical since we are just bad at strategic investing and M&A. Just look at other colossal failures like HealthSpring and VillageMD.

Given the massive amounts of money Cigna lost on those deals, whoever was responsible for making them should be the first ones fired with no severance. Not band 2 level worker bees trying to keep our operations running against all odds.

Yep, last year my MD Live visits were all free. I just had to pay $63 to have a MD Live UC visit. Using MD Live saves the company a LOT of money but $63 for a phone consult is embarrassing.

Before I was laid off last year, I was paying $411 per paycheck ($822/month) for health insurance for my family of 4. My new employer has MUCH better insurance; $1000 family deductible, amazing pharmacy benefits, and it's costing me $175/paycheck ($350/month) for my family of 4. Unbelievable how much Cigna rips off their own employees while providing them with pretty cr-ppy coverage. SO happy to be out of there.

The mail order requirement is like when miners would spend their paycheck to the company store. Paying Cigna for my medications which have cheaper generics are other pharmacies because I won’t get coverage if I don’t use Express scripts. Like the song says, I owe my soul to the company store. Get TF out of here
