As a recent former employee, I need to express my strong feelings about my experience at Juniper.
While I’m relieved to have moved on, I genuinely miss the vibrant atmosphere that defined Juniper in 2023 and prior. It’s startling to see the drastic shift in the sales organization's culture over the past 13 months. Juniper was once a dynamic workplace, and it’s clear how much team performance can sway the environment.
However, I firmly believe that significant challenges in leadership have played a crucial role in this transformation. The shift in management styles, especially under CK and the newer managers, has undeniably affected the team. From my perspective, effective leadership is essential for sustaining a motivated and successful workforce. It’s imperative that the company recognizes this and actively works toward fostering a more positive and supportive leadership approach going forward.
Juniper has a legacy of successful leadership that created a winning environment, and I strongly urge the organization to restore that dynamic. It's essential to avoid having business-oriented individuals in roles that should be led by engineering professionals. This misalignment hinders progress and morale.
The above parallels with an acquisition that has been horribly designed and managed is a recipe for a disaster for an HPE pairing.
Lets face it. Juniper is never gonna beat Cisco. Never gonna hold a candle to Arista Data center offering, and at this point, cannot compete with the likes of Palo Alto. Ice seen it first hand.
They will go from a leader in wireless to a challenger in the next few years because their leaders will sc--w up the HPE integration and engineering on it.
Finally, I witsh absolutely nothing but the best for Junioer. But if they want to start winning, then need to clean house starting with the top. (I don't doubt that after the transition, than CK and the rest will eventually depart the company and leave you all holding the bag)
Good luck to my former peer junivator. You deserve so much better.
