Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

I’m holding on until I find something else

It’s just more rational to stick around while searching for another job; otherwise, I would have quit long ago. I’ve been actively looking for a couple of months now, and it’s not as bad out there as I expected—though it really depends on what you're looking for. I’ve been thinking outside the box and applying for a variety of roles, not necessarily tech-related. I’m not looking for a higher salary, but for something that offers more stability and personal benefits. There are opportunities, and we will all survive.

I was let go Nov 6th. I worried I would not be able to find work, but the opposite is true. I have been contacted by several companies and am entertaining several offers.

It su-ks I have to start over with another company, but I am not in a position where I get to negotiate and choose who I lend my expertise, and experience too, and that is a great feeling.
