The ladies who orchestrated their world take over should be ashamed of themselves.
They made the difference of giving Avaya a fighting chance vs it's current evaporation.
Sadly...the board (Patrick Dennis) and then CEO (Alan masarek) were too lazy to stand up and stop the ridiculous ego driven destruction of business.
Meanwhile the President of Microsoft EMEA ....
Those not based in the Middle East viewed that leader VERY different. He was the definition of the Peter Principle - someone promoted beyond their capabilities. He acted like a little tyrant.
The MEA region was never significant and his style and choices of lieutenants only served to seriously harm the company globally.
It was a mistake to promote him to VP and seriously brought into question the wisdom of the CEO who promoted him to SVP. Those questions proved to be founded as that CEO led to another bankruptcy.
Literally.
If Avaya still has these connections maybe they'd have options
We ALL knew Avaya would fold after ML manipulated to push out N-AL.
Again...Avaya international didn't file Chapter 11. And the Saudi connection was what kept revenue coming in....
As someone said. Strategy should never be steered by ego.
This post is stupid.
Don't ever underestimate strategy via ego and self-preservation.
