Hello,
- Does anyone know when annual HP employee bonuses are paid out?
- If we have a layoff before the bonus payout, would the employees receive anything?
Thank you
Hello,
Thank you
In all likelihood there will be some bonus pool, but it will be much smaller than the last two years. HP benefited significantly from the covid bo-m and bonuses were great, but now we are falling back to pre covid numbers and still face significant headwinds. Ultimately, HP as a company didn’t meet financial goals so the pool will be funded by that. From there, if your business unit hasn’t met goals, your units pool will be even smaller and then personal performance comes into play.
Always treat bonuses as a bonus and do NOT expect or plan for anything. It’s always possible you could be laid off before or the business could just say no bonuses this year. We are all in tough times and that affects all of us.
Business isn’t about fairness. It’s about profit.
Remarkable! Comments about bonuses in a company having absolutely flat growth.
Well, enjoy yourselves because the ride is not going to last much longer. HP is no sweetheart, it's ruthless and will dump employees at the drop of a hat. A flat business with poor recent earnings, with a recent expensive acquisition, AND with a well known and documented history of extensive layoffs, is not going to continue keeping everyone around and providing bonuses.
"Annual bonus payments are included in the final paycheck in December, issued on the last business day of the year at the latest. If you are not employed at that point, no bonus."
Thank you for your quick reply. It would be unfair if someone performed their duties adequately during the year, but got let go in November or early December.
