Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Total chaos at work

I thought the last job was a nightmare with how disorganized it was, but now I’m at Avaya, and it’s even worse. Every single thing feels like it’s falling apart here. The chaos is non-stop. It's honestly hard to see how things could improve at this point, but I’m still hoping for some change.

Destination place to work & we all went above & beyond….was BS to keep us all there until they decided to lay us off. Goodbye Avaya & good riddance!!

Very toxic work environment. It's exhausting being there.

How can there be chaos when there is nothing to do?

This very much feels like "The Battle of Berlin". Avaya has ceeded a large market share to competitors, has seen rapidly declining sales, and the layoffs of most of the "doers". How does a company grow sales with no new products, the planned end of sale for a number of existing product lines, and the layoff of much of the professional service teams who deploy the products.

Will the next chapter at Avaya be 7?

That tends to happen when they layoff the people that were actually knew what they were doing and doing the work.

Candidly it’s only going to get worse. You know it, we all know it, now the business partners and their customers are learning it too.

Just a matter of time now for it to be over.
