HPE had a campaign to Beat Mist. If this was known to Juniper, why would Juniper want to sell itself to HPE with the potential for Mist to be swept under the rug?

“ why would Juniper want to sell itself to HPE”?
Because money. Your executives want those stock options and buyout bonuses more than wanting individual contributors to stay with the company after the acquisition.
Man HPE really sc--wed this one up.
But we shouldn't be surprised.
They have sc--wed everything they've touched up.
I'll admit something. That AN guy really seems like a used car sales man at this point. He is just telling us what we want to hear.
P.s he really pwnd Rami at SKO
Standard SKO pep talk stuff. But it points to HPE and JNPR being big competitors in the wireless space, which would go away if HPE buys up the competition. DOJ doesn't want movement in the direction of monopoly.
of course and that was the right approach. compete until you don't the whole public blabber about collaborating and becoming an unbeatable market force was exactly what derailed this.
C’mon man. You never heard of competition before? Or sales incentives? Or marketing?
