Hearing there was a call this morning in the UK with the announcement of approx. 70 folks to be let go by March 31st. Let us hope that the UK leadership is included in the numbers...

What a shambolic 💩 that show Avaya has become... The industry byword (or should that be bye word!) for how run a business into the ground over 25 tortuous years.
If all those 'leaders' who've come/gone over that time (all bringing an '...enormous wealth of experience'!!) were laid-off sooner in favor of real talent, the company may stood a slim chance of making it...
Last one out, please turn the lights off!

Just to confirm and share hope. I am one of the 80 people at risk. I have now come to terms with this and it is the best thing to happen to me (after spending 10+ years playing the Avaya game).
Since receiving the email have managed to get 3 interviews lined up and feeling positive.
A lot of us tried our best for a former telecom beast, but the management and decisions around the portfolio and tech should of been recognised for what it was - FAILING.
Good luck to all affected. And if anyone that hasn't been start planning your exit strategy wise up and update that CV. If you think this is the end you are deluded.
Don’t stress, the UK management are going to be just fine
The UK has 2 customers in the top 10 no? One of those is probably Avaya's biggest contract in terms of revenue and years to run.
Hilarious and embarassing that Avaya UK have clung onto the Guildford ( ex-HQ 😂) and central London (vanity project 🤣) offices over the years of constant decline. You could accommodate all Avaya UK staff in one rented Regus office floor these days...
London is rented, and I don't think Regus do 200 seat offices for lease, best to understand these things before posting misinformation.
So much nonsense here 1. Guilford is gone, and London is under consideration but it’s a relatively small space anyway. 2. It’s 60 3. There are 200 employees in the UK.
Ahh yes... Let's hope many of the 70 affected are those 'managers' who (and here comes the hackneyed Avaya announcement quote) '...brings a wealth of experience to the role'. 😂😂.

What about "Unilever", the UK Account that ZK highlighted "proving" that Avaya is huge?
How are they going to like the local office being decimated?
Not sure that there are 70 people left in Avaya UK. 😞
