Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

CLEAN ROOM

I am part of a so-called Clean room. I had to sign 2 NDAs. I personally shared a lot of information with HPE and received information.

Information has been sent back and forth that should not be allowed.

The DOJ has attempted to contact a number of Juniper Networks employees. This has been discussed with management. A colleague agreed and provided information to the DOJ. The information from the DOJ is correct. HPE was only interested in Mist Systems. Juniper's growth in WLAN was too fast. The only way to stop Juniper was to acquire Mist Systems. However, Juniper did not want to sell Mist. HPE therefore wanted to buy Juniper in its entirety.

Is there any talk of spinning out Aruba? It seems like the DOJ’s problem is specifically WLAN. Selling Aruba resolves that.

Signed multiple NDAs and being asked to share excessive details with HPE seems to be the norm in this case. This level of disclosure was never permitted in past acquisitions I’ve been involved in. From the outset, the relationship appeared unusually close, and if this situation ends up in court, a significant amount of subpoenaed data will likely reveal this pattern.

I sometimes feel that after MIST acquisition, the focus on the rest of OG Juniper has taken a backseat, not to mention the attitude of MIST team doesn't gel with Juniper. RR has to be back to what he does best and get a true leader for Juniper and bring our Junos products to limelight

The judge appointed to oversee the DOJ case seems to be more pro competition & antitrust. Good luck winning that case.

In the DOJ complaint last page, they have also listed their contact details in case somebody needs to reach out to them with information.
