Get AI to create you a resume or know the right person in leadership and talk in circles… you then can get a leadership role. You honestly don’t need skills anymore look at these comments it tells you everything we need to know.
Why are there so many individual contributors not being held accountable? (Per your calculations)
Let's be fair - there are plennnnnty of individual contributors that are dead weight. Not all - but so, so many. 25% of the company carries 75% of the workload.
The only thing our PL knows how to do is mistrust and interrogate.
When you mention you don't like something, our PL will make it ten times worse.
I had the worst PL. She spent more time talking cr-p about the Director to the staff every other meeting.
schedule countless meetings, and they all feel like interrogations.
Who is the worst people leader?
Send 20 harassing teams messages a day, schedule meetings to scream like a toddler and get a bonus from it.
Favortism has come up a lot. This hinders growth in a team. Leaders should not favor those that are like minded. This is a clear sign of poor leadership. They should be open to growth and learning from different perspectives. Our jobs require a muti disciplinary approach to our roles and company goals . So why is favortism so common in leadership roles? Maybe it doesn’t matter. It’s so common nobody cares to address it. It’s the new normal. I can almost guarantee the people not in these circles of favoritism have ideas that can allow us to work smarter and not harder, but who cares.
Our PL only micromanage and play favoritism.

You are absolutely correct. Pushing paper and delegating. We need more leaders like you willing to roll up your sleeves and help your team.
No people leader worth their title just pushes paper. They need to roll their sleeves up and help their teams.
As a PL, I intentionally bypass other leaders that offer me no value. I’ll go straight to their team members and get what I need before the PL even responds in Teams.
Kiss up, kick down
Allocate resources.
Our supervisor only micromanage, doesn’t know anything else.
Ask HR everything is dependent on your PL. No transfer without your PL, no bonus, and no promotion without your PL saying you’re qualified lol. Interesting post been waiting on someone to ask…considering managers and directors hold the most power over employees without any oversight.
They have no skills so they micromanage so no one realizes they don’t have skills. They hire friends just like them . I’m sure we could save the company tons of money and mistakes without the bad ones. There are so many good leaders that know of the bad ones that should speak up. It may not be their place but it really hurts morale and reputation of the organization.
