I was notified this morning, no idea how big the layoffs are yet. Pretty normal severance, nothing special.

by the time they figure it out you're long gone
I mean nobody said you had to train them properly. How are they going to know if you did a sh-t job or not?
Having to train your outsourced replacement is completely demoralizing. But I guess when they don't need you anymore, you're seen as just a number.
Correction, procurement is going to India. Cherry on top is people that are layed off get to train them! Yes, I am one that got the 🪓
Procurement is going to APAC
I was in R&D (until this morning)
Illumina is making the mistake of forcing a brain drain internally. Toxic management policies cause excellent high performers to go to Roche etc. And if that wasn’t enough, 7 rounds of layoffs (most recently targeting high performing senior employees) force even more talent to move to competition. Junior staff, combined with the same management and board that is driving illumina into the ground, suggests the slow death of this once great company.
Whats the severance?
Finance got hit hard
Any idea which departments?
