My team's morale is 200%. With or without the merger. Just do the g#d#mn work you are paid to do. If everybody is sondistracted by this cr-p the outcome would be clear, and you don't belong in this team so LEAVE.

40 -100$ meals are something they can expense on . Plus unlimited drinks builds character and team positivity during team building meetings but they need execs permission for access into tools .
Any word on merit increases this year? I asked my manager for a couple of tools to help me do my job. She said no, but she will buy me pizzas instead. I mean, WTH?

Instead of double duty for most people it will triple duty. There are not many left now

Everyone is talking about moving out after March 15, once the bonus is done, but there aren't too many jobs for people with experience. Rumors were ripe about an offer for all beyond a certain age, but with the HPE merge unknown, I doubt if we will have this option.
There is no espp, may not be any rsu grants, may be little to no merit increases, but definitely a lot of uncertainty moving forward. I have something better lined up and will take the yearly bonus and leave. I know other good people who are in the same boat. Expect more attrition from mid March to April.
If you are still in two minds, read the post from the HPE message board and decide accordingly.
