Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Fear

"Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battlestation."

  • Governor Tarkin, Star Wars, a New Hope

And as it applies to HPE.
"Fear will keep the employees in line. Fear of layoffs."

  • Carly Fiorinna, Mark Hurd, Meg Whitman, Antonio Neri

I told my manager that I'm on the autism spectrum. I'm not, but now he will think twice before WFRing a disabled person. And I can get away with antisocial behavior.

Manbearpig, shouldn't someone like you who's "super duper excellent awesomest most bestest employee ever because Mommy said so" be putting that exceptional talent to work in turning around this dead company? Because its no secret almost 90% of the stock in this company is held by institutions and once dividends drop, they'll all dump the company. So do what you can to prop up that incredibly lame underperforming stock. Someone with your exceptional abilities should be able to get the stock up to $50/share by EoD

Go live up to the reputation you've given yourself. I'll check the stock price tomorrow

Manbearpig, shouldn’t you be working as well instead of trolling the posts on here.

ManBearPig, maybe you should be working. Some one with such exceptional talents [not to mention an incredibly massive ego] shouldn't waste their time on such a trivial site like this one

BTW, they fired the CEO [Hurd] so don't ever believe they won't get rid of you if they want to.

@ ManBearPig is delusional. I no longer work for HPE. I took the last company wide buyout and left in 2020. I like to swing by and check in on the HPE crowd. I was with HPE for 20yrs. I suffered through Carly, Hurd, Meg, Léo, Meg and Antonio. I've worked with some very dedicated, nose to grind stone, co-workers who were laid off, not because they couldn't do the job; not because they didn't have the skills; but because they were not cheap enough. I've seen CEOs get fired and leave the company with millions in compensation while HPE employee get 1% raises and zero bonuses. HPE is a stagnant, cr---y company. It has zero innovation. My advise is to always have a resume ready and keep looking. The jobs are out there, just keep looking.

Hah! ManBearPig is likely a C-Suite or PR rep for the company.

ManBearPig, they are doing their job. It's writing up a poor FPR for you for this fiscal year in anticipation of your job being moved offshore where someone will do it for $15K a year in FY24 and you'll be sent out the door. This is necessary because HPE ran out of gas years ago and have NO unique products or technology to distinguish them from the other tech companies. The death spiral continues.

I realize denial helps when you are stuck in a dead end job in a dying company, whatever helps you get thru the day.... Now maybe you should get back to work?

That’s a great quote. I wonder instead of posting that could you have instead taken the time to maybe do your job perhaps?

Just a thought.

You’re welcome
