Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Belk to open second corporate office in New York City

Belk, a long-standing southern company, is planning on opening a corporate office based in Manhattan. Workers will not have a choice as to which corporate office they will work at, according to the Queen City Nerve article, most corporate and remote workers (with the exception of top executives) have a salary that would make living in Manhattan (one of the most expensive cities in the world) unsustainable.

Im 100% sure we have leased the stores back to KKR and sycamore partners ...that's why we haven't closed stores...a closed store means no payment to KKR, and sycamore partners .....this return to office will clean out folks without a layoff, servance, or a warn notice

An as far as opening a corporate office in NYC KKR, and sycamore partners would only want to see Don or the Cfo...they could careless about planning, design or anything that happens at BBS..an if they did want to see a store they will walk South Park at the 4th quarter...for them opening a office in NYC would be a waste of $$ ..unless Belk corporate leased it back to them
