Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

I wonder how many people has Centene caused emotional distress?

These are some of the thoughts you may have if you’re experiencing an emotional breakdown: 1. “I’m losing control.” 2. “Everything is going wrong and I don’t know what to do.” 3. “I’m mentally, physically, and emotionally overwhelmed.” 4. “I’m stuck and cannot function.” 5. “It’s not going to be all right.”

Intentional Infliction of Nervous Shock/Emotional Distress/Mental Suffering.

I resigned end of 2023, I was completely exhausted and stressed out. Never was able to get in a routine because of the constant switching of plans to work. I was so overwhelmed that it just made multitasking a nightmare of anxiety. God forbid you got an error, with anxiety so high I just had had it. Told them I was done as of right now. Why give notice when they will fire you on the spot and poof, your gone. I am in such a better place now, although it took several months to get there.

Are leaders being told to stress employees off to make them leave? This isn’t normal.

Daily feels. Micromanagement. Advertises flexible schedule yet decision is left to people leader who micromanages and can't see past their own personal issues. Every minute must be accounted for. Workload must be planned in advance and people leader informed.

Profuctive, non provider engaging employees with satisfactory results should be trusted to work independently and left alone. Employees at left feeling disrespected, distrusted and hopeless.

This has been me today.... More changes more changes, more expectation , more metrics, more tasks but no support, literally on our team the manager said: if you are burn out or not fast enough multitasking, START APPLYING OUT WTF IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN

Everyone is overwhelmed in my area. It doesn’t matter how much you do there is always more you could have done. There are only so many hours in a day. Slot of changes in management.

Yes and I resigned! I feel so much better and no longer take anxiety meds! Your health and wellbeing are more important than a job at Centene.

Yes to 1-5. It is early Saturday morning and I am up with anxiety over the artificially negative review I am expecting next week that at best will result in no merit increase and bonus ( better luck next year) or at worst a PIP and out with no package (help set us up for success then get out).
