USB posted my old job on Linked In 3 months after I was laid off. They posted it for a lower pay range than I had been making and are seeking someone with less experience (ie. younger). Job responsibilities are identical. Manager said my layoff was not performance based (and my last performance review was positive). I already got hired by a competitor for a better job. I'm honestly glad not to work at USB. It was the worst company I've ever worked for. I hope they learn to treat employees better.

USB tends to fire people based on pay scale. If they can hire someone else for cheap they will do it. So please don't stay long term. You will get clipped if you perform to high.
Because I'm having a hard time believing that they would post your same exact job at a lower grade and lower pay when nothing has changed in the job catalog.
All the jobs and the grades have stayed the same.
Right after you post yours @k0+1jmqwj4y4 ;)
List the job title and the grade number you were in.
Based on this title, I thought they were trying to get former employees back. This, unfortunately, is a lot less juicy.
Employees at the bank who believe they are respected and valued are just kidding themselves. You are a number in a RIF spreadsheet. When your cell turns red, you will be let go. Age and salary are the variables. If they can hire cheaper or offshore, you will be gone. The older people you see are low paid and have few if any other options. The bank hates their frontline employees.
Call the police.
Is it productive for you to make unnecessary comments when you could be more productive by not saying anything?
Is it productive to search former employer’s job listings once you land a better job and severance?
I’d spend time on more productive activities!
