Former HCSC. I interviewed for a role there this month and got a call for another. Mb it's over, maybe it's select departments.

HR doesn’t decide when there’s a hiring freeze, they’re just there to HR-splain and enforce it.
The 2025 hiring freeze is very real. I know VPs are pressing HR due to critical staffing needs, but the answer remains a firm no.
One of the Texas VPs stated in a meeting, about 2 weeks ago, that we are in a hiring freeze. I believe it was supposed to be to end sometime at the end of Feb. but not 100% sure.
There was a pretty widespread freeze at the end of 2024. They weren't advertising it, but my boss did let it slip. I think most areas are able to hire now though, I know mine has a posting up.
