It’s hard to overstate just how ill-suited he was for his role, and it’s honestly shocking he lasted as long as he did. From the start, it was clear that he had no real understanding of healthcare, let alone the leadership skills required for an RVP position—or even basic middle management. He often relied on bullying tactics to get employees to do his work, but always under the guise of “it’s for Sr. Leadership.” Never a clear reason, just vague, manipulative excuses.

You could explain simple concepts to him multiple times, yet he still couldn’t grasp them. It wasn’t a matter of him needing more time to learn—it was a consistent pattern of incompetence. He’d create confusion by insisting on late-night meetings (7-8 pm) just to flex his authority when things didn’t go his way, and it was evident that his aim was more about punishing people rather than solving problems.

When it came to decision-making, he would deliberately avoid taking any responsibility. Instead of approving anything, his go-to line was always “I’m supportive” after you’d already jumped through hoops—emailing, calling, and IM’ing him multiple times, only for him to give vague, non-committal responses. This was his strategy: never take accountability, never make a real decision.

Simply put, he wasn’t good at his job. His lack of leadership, understanding, and basic managerial competence made it painfully obvious why he was let go—and it’s clear to anyone who worked with him that his firing was a long time coming.
