RR vs PS

What leverage does RR have on PS that PS hasn’t fired RR yet?

Remember when RR was supposed to move to London but didn’t?
Remember when RR wanted to help his friend FF by bringing him back under the SBU?

RR hasn’t produced any meaningful shareholder returns beyond steady state of business growth (maybe even LESS than that!).
RR hasn’t moved the buyside business forward with any innovative product launch in YEARS (innovative meaning something truly transformative that will drive meaningful ASV acceleration in 5 years or less).
RR is a POOR LEADER who has NO VISION for the future, only thinks in terms of active public equity asset managers, & couldn’t convey any meaningful update on his own (without DM or SK in his ear).

He’s GOT TO GO if we want to get back to accelerating growth, have a vision for life after PA, & have any chance of avoiding future efficiencies/layoffs.

While folks might have the courage to say these things directly, does the ELT inspire trust that they have the heart to listen to this and the stomach to digest what is said? In my experience, the CEO offered me a listening ear but the CFO reminded me of the Devil who wears Prada. Does that mean that’s the experience everyone has?

Gross oversimplification on your end is to assume that knowing the choices and acting on them is one and the same. Perhaps some have spoken about this directly and been treated poorly? Perhaps some are in the process of introspection and wondering if they can talk about this without the fear of repercussions? Perhaps some are angry at being misunderstood? Has any leader read these with the willingness to understand rather than judge?

Easy enough to pass on the blame and say resign blah blah.. while forgetting no one has forced you to read or contribute to these posts either.

re: PS, RR, DM, DY, FF, IBS, etc. etc.....Its simple, clearly you are unhappy so you have 3 choices: 1) resign. 2) have the courage to say these things DIRECTLY instead of anonymously on a thread. 3) stop spending negative energy on sites like this and do your job.

Yes, that would explain their priorities perfectly. To laugh at their distressed employees while making random haphazard decisions, taking millions of dollars in pay for mindless actions and slowing down company growth to low single digits. For god’s sake, let them laugh all they want. Just not at the expense of their employees being unable to afford rent, food and clothing.

No, FactSet isn’t perfect, it never was and never will be. Many people have left and continue to do so. To BBG, LSEG, BlackRock, CRD, etc. There is a space in between being a country club, being ethical and being overboard on competition which creates more infighting than outward progress. If all the ELT is being slammed here, question for you purists is - Why is that? Is it because you are so godda-ned busy filling your own pockets rather than actually being leaders? What does that say about the culture embodied by the “leadership?”

No one is asking you to read these posts, there is a reason this is not on company communication channels or being broadcast in the sales pulse or slido. If you are such a FactSet promoter, go try to get some work done instead of telling people down when they share their experiences. There is enough of that from the ELT/ HRBP bigots who can’t demonstrate a single value they lecture on.

The last few posts are correct. PS hated the factset country club. His goal was to make it more like the competitors. He succeeded. The country club ain’t coming back and he’s enjoying your whining. Get over it.

Like on slido, when people moan about not having enough snacks (maybe try hitting the treadmill first or that place called the fitness center you see once a year) they don't to realise this should be a space to discuss layoffs rather than the "worst kept secrets of ELT"

Go work for LSEG, BBG,MSCI, S&P and see how long you last there before bringing your personal issues into FDS

Resources in this group is decided on preference ( biases and so on) not on business rationale. In one place FF decides to open a role and in another place the same reasons are given to justify not opening a role but surely there are no biases. When you speak up you get stuck and labeled. Respect to D,E,&I starts with taking actions when people have the courage to speak up

The same way PS had FG and HS as the Head of sales/CRO. PS is no saint, just a fox masquerading as a sheep. Would have liked to call him a lion but given his lack of integrity or courage, it would be inappropriate to do so.

It’s like someone read my mind! Dealing with their unprofessional services and data disintegration leaders (uncanny that one looks like Ken and the other is a bald version of Vance..)

Thanks to these two, I’d rather beg the client to spend with us elsewhere than give them IBS.

There should be “Hogwash heard from IBS”. Quoted routinely:

  1. This is not my job.
  2. I am busy ( playing golf, going to the dentist, getting a haircut, bullying the juniors)
  3. This is support and not worth my team’s time.
  4. We don’t do workstation demos. ( or Portfolio Analytics/ SPAR demos or API demos)
  5. This is the clients fault.
  6. This is the sales team’s / product team’s responsibility.
  7. We don’t have capacity for small deals under 50k.
  8. It is not my job to teach.

I wonder how RR/FF/DY sleep at night knowing the je-ks they’ve promoted as leaders in their team. Skoko managed that far better than RR as a SBU leader. Instead of “Disagree and commit”, the IBS leaders go by “Disagree, Deny, Disturb and Ditch”

Wow someone's really nursing their bruised ego after getting booted for being AWA - whatever that means and end of that legendary "strategy" team led by a genius who's never made a single real product in her life. Fan club for America’s sales head comprises of the ex-CRO, head of employee engagement, Sales HRBP, Sales Operations (is it self appointed Chief Operating Officer?) who she encouraged on their customer success joyride; boatload of WBRG sponsors across the regions that were handpicked to further their propaganda. That’s why she is still in her role while those around her are dispensed.

Must thank Ms Shan and her random leadership/ ED/SVP picks for the crony capitalism.

Seen the ELT turnover? Speaks volumes of the talent the CEO is dealing with.

JR, GF,RS, LH, DV and few others who were ELT members 18-24 months ago are no longer with the firm. Roles for CPO, CTO, CRO and CFO have been rejigged. How much more change could he have pushed for?

What leverage does RR have over PS?

A strong followership - FF, SK, DM and many others like them. Can any of these do what RR does better? Perhaps. Do they want to do what RR does? Doubt it.

The IBS SBU is a case study of mimicking the structure (in hope of power usurping) that the sales team has. In doing so, not only have they failed as salespeople but also as strategic product experts.

Is RR to blame or PS? Take your pick. I’d also say Shan effed the integration of specialty sales into sales royally by letting the customer success drama led by Americas Sales/ Sales ops take its own course. Her endorsement of it led to RR and FF becoming stronger allies.
